CADIWA Batangas Chapter Founding Assembly

The CADIWA Batangas Chapter was organized last July 19, 2009, at its founding assembly held at the Sto. Tomas Municipal Gymnasium. The event was attended by 170 members mostly from factories around Tanauan and Sto. Tomas, Batangas. There were speakers from the local government and from the Dept of Labor and Employment (DOLE) who discussed the programs they're offering the displaced workers. But the culmination of the activity was the discussion on the Global Financial Crisis and Con-Ass, and how CADIWA is affected by all political happenings in the country. Leaders from Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino provided the political discussions. A set of officers was elected to steer the Chapter. The members vowed to be active in all undertakings to get the needed recognition from the government.
