Business - US joins EU in WTO case over Philippine booze tax - INQUIRER.net

This is a classic example which shows that the provisions and policies of the WTO are not for the Third World but only for the owners of capital, members of G8 (US, EU, Japan, etc.), the big exporters of their products to the third world. Philippine policy is to protect the exporters and medium and small business to recover from losses incurred from damages caused by natural calamities. But this policy is contrary to the provisions of the WTO. We'll wait what will happen on this. Will our representatives stand to protect our economists, or will they give-in to the dictates of the global Capitalists.
