Tech: International Association for Growth of Registered Electrical Engineers (iAGREE)

The International Association for Growth of Registered Electrical Engineers (iAGREE), Inc. was organized for the purpose of giving a voice to the more than 70% population of all licensed electrical engineers, and in the process, create changes. The 2% (Professional Electrical Engineers) controls the leadership of the IIEE (Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers)(the Registered Master Electricians comprises the remaining 28%) where all EE's are mandated by the law to be a member. While they hold the top seats in IIEE, the concerns of the majority are not being heard. In the practice of electrical engineering in the Phils, the REE's are not being given an equal share of the pie, meaning, available jobs with dignified positions are not shared with them. Salaries of majority of REE's are at a minimum. This is so because laws are instituted to keep it that way. Although this is also a national economic problem, the present situation in IIEE in particular adds salt to the wound. Meeting of iAGREE's Board of Trustees, Nov. 10, 2012
