PLM - Cavite Candidates' Forum

The Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM) Cavite Chapter held yesterday a Candidates' Forum at FVR, Poblacion 5, GMA Cavite. It was attended by 101 participants from the different teams vying for positions in the coming barangay elections. Participants came from the municipalities of GMA and Silang. A total of 8 teams attended the forum. The teams will campaign for the programs and advocacies of PLM, and will tie them to their local issues and struggles, specifically the ANTI-PORK BARREL and ANTI-DYNASTY campaigns.

 

The Forum started with the presentation of each team and their platforms of government. The guest speaker was the Secretary General of PLM, ka Leody De Guzman, who answered questions through a phone patch, because he was unable to make it to the venue. The half day activity was ended through a call to action by Jojo Rivera of the Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP) Southern Tagalog.

PolEco: Basic Mass Course (BMC) seminar in Cavite

The Basic Mass Course seminar is given to the basic masses, for them to have an understanding on the root cause of poverty and injustices happening in the country, why it is happening, and what's the solution to the problem. It focuses on how capitalism is a decaying system and how socialism is the more progressive system. The seminar in Cavite was conducted last August 20, 2013, and was attended by 12 participants from different mass organizations like Zone One Tondo Organization (ZOTO) - Bulihan, Zone One Tondo Organization (ZOTO) - GMA, Kongreso ng Pagkakaisa ng Maralitang Lungsod (KPML) - GMA. Also among them are aspirants for public positions in the coming barangay elections in October. The seminar was handled by Partido Lakas ng Masa - Cavite.
